How It Works

Five phases.
One unbroken thread.

An international move used to mean months of chaos and unanswered questions. We turned it into a process you can follow — milestone by milestone, ocean by ocean.

01
1Phase 01

Home Survey

We come to you — before a single box is packed.

A dedicated move consultant visits your home, catalogues every room, identifies items needing specialist crating, and builds your custom inventory. The grandmother's ceramics and the child's growth chart on the doorframe get their own notes. Nothing is reduced to cubic metres.

02
2Phase 02

Customs & Documentation

Forty countries, zero paperwork headaches.

Our customs specialists handle origin and destination documentation, household goods declarations, and restricted-item permits. We've moved families into 40+ countries — we know which port requires a notarised inventory and which needs the original purchase receipts.

3Phase 03

Packing Day

The morning the house empties — handled with ceremony.

Our packing crews are trained in material-specific wrapping: acid-free paper for artwork, double-wall cartons for books, custom timber crates for antiques. Each box is labelled with room, contents, and fragility — in your language and the language of your destination country.

04
4Phase 04

Transit Tracking

Your belongings on the open ocean — visible, always.

Live container tracking from port to port. You'll know when your shipment leaves Rotterdam, clears Singapore customs, and approaches Sydney Harbour. Our client portal shows estimated arrival windows updated every 6 hours, and a human move manager answers calls — not a bot.

05
5Phase 05

Delivery & Unpacking

The day the new house becomes a home.

We don't just drop boxes at the door. Our delivery team places furniture to your floor plan, reassembles beds so children can sleep their first night, and unpacks the kitchen so you can cook before the week is out. Packaging is removed and recycled. You're left with a home, not a warehouse.

Stories from the road

Families who moved
the whole story.

Not moves. Chapters. Each one carrying something irreplaceable to somewhere new.

"They wrapped my mother's cast iron pot — the one she brought from Lisbon in 1978 — in so much tissue paper it looked like a gift. It arrived in Singapore without a scratch. I cried when I unwrapped it."

"We moved four kids, two dogs, a piano, and seventeen years of accumulated life from Cape Town to Amsterdam. Uproot treated the piano like it was going to Carnegie Hall. The growth chart from the kitchen door arrived framed."

"I retired to the Algarve after 40 years in London. I was terrified. But from the survey to the day the team assembled my bed in Portugal, I felt like someone had my back. The tracking portal meant I slept at night."

"Got the job in Dubai on a Thursday. Uproot had a survey consultant at my flat the following Monday. Six weeks later, every book, every plant pot, every stupid novelty mug I should have thrown away was waiting in my new apartment."

Tom Nakamura, a young man with dark hair and a confident expression

"The customs documentation for Japan was something I'd been dreading for months. Their specialist had it sorted in a single call. Three pages of forms, two restricted-item queries, all handled before I even asked."
